The tribal based Puntland region of Somalia is always seeking and on the look out to obtain more power, resources and prominent role than the rest of Somalia. This Puntland is a symbol of corruption, poor administration, discriminatory tribalism, insatiable greediness and conspiracy to undermine Somalia's unity and sovereignty as an independent nation. From 1998, The exclusive Majeerteen enclave of Puntland has become a pure satellite of Ethiopia and it is used by Ethiopia and other enemies of Somalia to destroy Somalia and undermine the rebirth of a national Somalia government.The recent agreement between the tfg premiere Abdiweli Mohamed Ali and Puntland's governor Abdirahman Faroole, is totally illegal and unacceptable for the following reasons:-1. The TFG is not a legitimate entity as it has not been elected, approved or chosen by the Somali people2. The TFG mandate as a transitory entity has expired and do not have any credibility whatsoever3. The TFG does not control any territory in Somalia and is wholly dependent on the African troops that control less than 3 km in Mogadishu4. The TFG is a loathed corrupt entity which is used by foreigners to deepen Somalia's woes, disunity,statelessness, famine, persistent civil wars, etc5. The tribal enclave of Puntland has always been and still is the base and home of sea piracy6. Puntland is guilty of human rights violations and abuses as it kills, tortures, and deports all Somalis other than Majeerteen who have come to Puntland for various reasons7. Puntland is a very close ally of Ethiopia, and therefore is untrustworthy and unreliable8. Puntland does not have a legitimate basis to behave as an independent state from the rest of Somalia9. Puntland is at war with Somaliland and other regions of Somalia and as such do not deserve to play a prominent role in Somalia's political and social affairs10. The agreement signed by the tfg premiere gave Puntland full right to act as an independent state, to explore and develop oil, gas and minerals and to enter own accord with foreign states and companies without the consent of the tfg. What a ridiculous and conspiratorial agreement !ConclusionsThe so-called accords signed by the tfg premiere with Puntland must be dismissed with utmost contempt and condemnation because those agreements are not based on fair play, legal requirements and an atmosphere conducive for such accords as Somalia is in total turmoil, anarchy, fragmented and under foreign troops occupation. It is mandatory upon the TAG President Shaikh Shaikh Ahmed, TAG parliamentarians and TAG senior cabinet members to out rightly reject the one sided so-called accords signed by the TAG premiere with Puntland. The irony is the TAG has no say whatsoever in the decision making processes and financial and social management of Puntland, where on the other hand Puntland demands more power and resources from the TAG which is based in Mogadishu. On top of that. Punt land functions as independent state with its own taxes collections, contact with the outside world, entering own agreements with governments and foreign companies. In a net shell, Punt land's role in Somalia is negative, self seeking, unjust and is simply unacceptable.The Somali people await Sh.
